Top 10 Must Have Apps for Any High School Sudent

Here is my top 10 list. Keep in mind that some schools and programs to not condone the use of electronics in schools and the student must first gain approvl from the institution which they attend.

1. Penultimate- one of the best apps on the market for just $0.99. I use this app all the time in class to take notes! This app gives you the traditional style of typing notes because you write your notes either with a stylus or the tip of your finger.

2. Pages- great app! If your a Typer, this app is for you. Pages is not meant for writing, it acts as a Microsoft Word for you apple device. You can export your documents to Word on your Mac or PC through an e-mail. This great app is about the cost of about 3 notebooks, just $9.99.

3. Keynote- For all your PowerPoint loves out there, this app is for you. You can do all your presentations through this app and present it with just a cord from your Apple device to your projector or TV. Plus, if you hold your finger down on the screen for about 3 seconds, a laser pointer emerges and you can point to what your talking about with just a touch of a finger. This app costs $9.99.

4. Numbers- This app is great for your math and science courses. Using your data, you can create your graphs all on your Apple device. No more hand drawing out those hard to plot graphs with a ruler, you can just use Numbers for a cost of $9.99.

5. Kindle- I use this app all the time because it is so convenient! No more commuting to the bookstore just to find out if they have that one book. Now, with the kindle app, you can download your favorite books straight to your device instantly. The best part of this app is that most of the classics you read in English class are FREE. Also, if you don't know a word, you can touch the word and the app will find the definition instantly. But wait, it gets better, this app is FREE!

6. Notes Plus- This app is great for a well organized student and who has a place for eyerything and everything is in its place. This app allows the student to record lectures, draw notes, type notes, and easily organize them by class. This app costs $4.99.

7. inClass- Let me start off by saying that this app is FREE! This app acts as a planner for the busy (and forgetful) student who likes organization. This app allows the student to type notes, have a digital planner, and keep track of their teacher's contact information on the go.

8. Encyclopedia Britannica- Always a great resource to have at your disposal. Great for those pesky research papers or answering those tough questios in class. This app is FREE!

9. Graphing Calculator HD- No more hundred dollar TI-84 graphing calculator that your student has to have. Now, you can buy one for just $1.99.

10. Evernote- One of the best apps ever created! With this app, you can take notes, take photos, shoot videos, record lectures, and keep track of those great ideas that pop into your head. Evernote is a great app for FREE and I highly recommend it!
